With fittingly-named John Collins cocktails in hand, the pair experiences their own gamut of emotion while trying to keep up with the sad hopefulness of the “bad boy of Connecticut” himself; lamenting over the state of the world in 2020, the fear of getting older, and good ol’ fashioned heartbreak. There really is no stopping this train once we take a deep dive into this record, as the two also discuss the plights of living dangerously, how much they admire Gen-Z, Mayer’s spearheading of the male sensitivity movement in music, and most importantly - how the album really struck a chord with them in this landmark year of change and uncertainty.
