Over the past 35 years, Russ Simons has been involved in nearly every facet of the sports and entertainment facility industry in the United States - from design and construction to operations, marketing and public relations, to safety & security.
At Venue Solutions Group, Russ directs the firm’s safety, security, risk and crowd management operations. He works with operators at every level from college to every major professional league. His work goes hand-in-hand with architects & engineers to design facilities that are safe, operationally efficient and sustainable.
IIFX caught up with Russ at the newly completed 5 billion dollar state of the art SoFi stadium in LA, to discuss the challenges of the pandemic, future solutions and how he thinks we will be able to “Return to Work, Play and Spectate”
