21:38People want to feel supported and safe at work – and inspired to innovate. What can people working at large corporations do to create this kind of environment? Saskia Mureau is the Director of Customer Digital at the Port of Rotterdam where she is harnessing digital systems to reduce emissions. She is passionate about creating inclusive workplaces where psychological safety and collaboration drive meaningful change. In this episode, Kamila sits down with Suchi to talk about why she chose to work at large corporations rather than startups. Saskia also reflects on her personal experiences, including navigating IVF while at work, and discusses how organizations can foster environments where employees feel empowered to bring their whole selves to work. Perched on the toe of the Great Dividing Range, where Dja Dja Wurrung, Wada Wurrung and Wurundjeri lands meet, lies the Wombat Forest. This 70,000 ha patch of bushland harbours the headwaters of 7 major rivers and hosts over 550 species of native flora and fauna, many of which are rare, and some which occur nowhere else on Earth. In the last 250 years it’s been mined, logged, grazed, burned and battered by storms, yet it still grows on - perhaps a little crooked, but still loved and lived in by many. But now, as we turn to face the gathering storms of climate change, we are faced with some questions: Where do we belong, as humans, in the forest system? How do we care for the places we love as we navigate the turbulence of climate upheaval? What has been lost, what is left, and where to from here? Big Questions. We wouldn’t presume to have the answers. But all the same we invite you to ponder as you wander through this landscape of perspectives, each face and voice another thread to stitch into the stories we tell of the Wombat Forest.
