With nearly two decades of experience in digital strategy and product management, Kate shares her insights on bridging internal silos, leveraging customer insights, and designing omnichannel experiences that truly resonate. From the early days of DTC growth to today’s complex, multi-touchpoint customer journeys, Kate explains why omnichannel is no longer optional—it’s essential. She highlights a standout example from Anthropologie, demonstrating how brands can create a unified customer experience across digital and physical spaces. Whether you’re a marketing leader, UX strategist, or product manager, this episode is packed with actionable advice on aligning teams, integrating user feedback, and building a future-proof omnichannel strategy. Key Takeaways: ✅ Omnichannel vs. Multichannel: Many brands think they’re omnichannel, but they’re really just multichannel. Kate breaks down the difference and how to shift toward true integration. ✅ Anthropologie’s Success Story: Learn how this brand seamlessly blended physical and digital experiences to create a memorable, data-driven customer journey. ✅ User Feedback is the Secret Weapon: Discover how continuous user testing—before, during, and after a launch—helps brands fine-tune their strategies and avoid costly mistakes. ✅ Aligning Teams for Success: Cross-functional collaboration is critical. Kate shares tips on breaking down silos between marketing, product, and development teams. ✅ Emerging Tech & Omnichannel: Instead of chasing the latest tech trends, Kate advises businesses to define their strategic goals first—then leverage AI, AR, and other innovations to enhance the customer experience. Quotes from the Episode: 💬 "Omnichannel isn’t just about being everywhere; it’s about creating seamless bridges between every touchpoint a customer interacts with." – Kate MacCabe 💬 "Companies that truly listen to their users—through qualitative and quantitative insights—are the ones that thrive in today’s competitive landscape." – Kate MacCabe Resources & Links: 🔗 Learn more about Flywheel Strategy 🔗 Connect with Kate MacCabe on LinkedIn 🔗 Explore UserTesting for customer insights for marketers…

×A funny thing happened on the way to recording. The origins of the show has taken a little hit with the closing of the foundation of how this show started. We take a little time this week going over a few of the memories from a local bar in LA the Den. Where Huw was introduced to Nate as well as Sam. We do find time to dive into a bit of the news going on in the world as well as the entertainment rabbit hole. Hopefully everyone is keeping their heads above water. Until next week we'll talk to you then.…
It's another week and how could we not see the drama coming out of Hollywood this week. There has been less press from Disney and their live action release of Snow White than we realized. Might have something to do with some of the issues Nate brings up. This takes us down to a rabbit hole of Vin Diesel which was a film review Huw wasn't prepared for. Sam fills us in on the new rides over at Universal. Then we look into the festival season coming soon. Somehow the lineup of Lollapalooza. I think we've reached that age where we're not making it back to a festival any time soon. Hopefully, everyone is staying safe out there and we'll get back to you next week.…
It's a day late... do to some outages and other circumstances. We're happy to sneak this one in the wire of the week. We dive down the rabbit holes of life and the situations going on around us. Hopefully we butcher the names of few when it comes to the banning of trans athletes. Nate finds himself in an interesting home with spiritual influences. Societally speaking we're looking at the FAFO part of things. Sam fills us in on the young people not having the basic understanding of TV. Be safe out there folks as we get through this a day at a time.…
Another week of existence is always a good thing. This week we've got the start of Mardi Gras as we start the recording on an Ash Wednesday. Which takes us down the odd rabbit hole of largest celebrations in the world for the week. There's a bit of a shocker that falls into that one. We take a moment to remember Gene Hackman and Michelle Trachtenberg. Which will take us into a long rabbit hole of the Oscars. We look at the hosting some of the speeches as well as a few other odd subjects. There is a bit of a focus to the in memoriam as well as the snubs from the list. We do a debate on what makes someone worthy of those honors. Hopefully everyone is safe and we're keeping you distracted.…
We're still standing after another week of madness. Hopefully the fall of democracy is treating you well. We do try to move into less negative news with the bankruptcy filing of Hooters. Before we break into the recent outbreak of Measles in Texas. We look at the difference in people coming out in the 90s vs the kids now. We do take another peak into the SNL50 which Nate pitches the doc about their music by Questlove. We somehow dive into the Hot Ones rabbit hole and take a quick dive into the Oscars. Stay safe out there and catch you next week.…
Another week of talking into the void. Nate is trying to keep the sanity muting his way through societal issues. None of us can fault him with the rationalizing. We look into the current Target boycott that is starting to add up. We take a dive into the Costco situation with their fight on inflation. We've got another plane down. Plus some hockey fights with national anthem issues. Finally, we walk down the music isle looking at the misuse of songs in politics and we go down some other random rabbit holes. We hope people are safe out there and keeping their sanity.…
Alright... we've been gone a little bit and there is a mystery episode that has somehow disappeared from the download. We'll figure that out and get it back up and running as soon as possible. This week we're trying to figure out ways of keeping sanity as Kanye has decided to torpedo his career... again. We dive into some name changes of certain body of water. Why are billionaires the way they are. Really wish we had an answer for that but they don't seem to care. We dive into the halftime performance from the super bowl. We try to take a deeper look into the performance of Kendrick Lamar. Nate shifts us into the drama of Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. We finally found a way to sneak into politics. Until next time everyone stay safe out there.…
It has been a crazy couple weeks out on the west coast of the country. We're able to give a little perspective on the fires breaking around the city we started the show. Take a look at a few of the conspiracies that are breaking on the internet. As well as a few of the crazies going out in the world with wooden swords... because that'll help. Sam gives an odd story about a Waymo and stopping at a school. Which leads into the idea of parents embarrassing their kids. Finally, Nate gets into his desire to see the newest Robbie Williams biopic that failed spectacularly at the box office this weekend. Hopefully everyone is staying safe out there and we'll have a fun one next week... Let the madness begin.…
Welcome back to the first show of the new year and the madness that is us. Nothing crazy coming this way at the moment as we wait and see the strange that comes in 25. Nate brings in a perspective of life with Escape from LA as a reference. We dive into the infighting going on in the bad place. We find a rabbit hole of the lost art of drug commercials. Hawk Tua girl has fallen off the radar. There's a fun new helpline for CEOs. Finally we get to have a little fun with the Independents' ranking of the top 60 actors of this 20th century. Hopefully everyone is being safe out there and we'll talk with you soon.…
It's another week before Christmas. And the madness continues for the crew. We have some fun times looking at the "Alien Invasion" or drones flying over New Jersey. Nate dives into the movie career of Brad Pitt and that takes us down an interesting rabbit hole including the likes of George Clooney and others. What makes one a super star or movie star? A debate that will continue on another day. We find ourselves down the typical random conversation and we're going to have more of that for next week. Hopefully, everyone is staying safe out there.…
So... nothing to see here. There wasn't any huge moment during the past week that might have taken over the news. We do take a look at the scenario that happened last week. We dive into the Diddy lawsuit and some of the info that has been dropping. We have an interesting walk down the plastic surgery rabbit hole that took some interesting turns. Then we dive down the fun situation of hits and runs. Before we finally get into the world of the Golden Globes and the fun that is happening with former Disney actresses. We hope everyone is staying safe out there and catch you next week.…
Alright folks, we've made it to another week. As there are a few things collapsing around us as we're recording. Nothing crazy though. Stepping away from the echo chamber to find out we're supposed to be invaded by aliens as recording. We dive into the weekend's box office as Moana 2 has taken over for the top film. This leads Nate into a confusion of Venom and the multiverse of Spiderman and villains. We take a moment to look into the world of word games and other ways of testing your brain. This takes us to a long moment of Taken and Liam Neeson. The rabbit holes of conversation we find ourselves in. We do find our way into a bit of sports as the fantasy world of football is coming to an end this season. Hopefully everyone is staying safe out there.…
Happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone who is listening to us. Hopefully we can numb out some of the madness going on in the house at the moment. We try and take a moment to step away from the reality we're walking into at the moment. We dive into the turkey day festivities. Before going to the box office to see about the winner of Glick. We somehow end up into the world of video games and Tron. As the rabbit holes take us to the newest social media Bluesky. Added bonus of the meltdown of Elon. Sam was able to sneak in today and filled us in on her trip to the Madonna inn. Hopefully everyone is staying safe out there and having a good week.…
After another week of madness we try and step back into the wheel house of the show. Random rabbit holes of conversations with little focus. We get into the forced merger of the Wicked and Gladiator II release. Take a moment to go into the Liam Payne funeral. The royals meet the cast of Gladiator II and there is a small issue with an actor. John Stamos is stirring up some drama. What was that accent? We should be making this more of a bit. Final look into the Tyson vs Paul fight from the weekend. Hopefully, everyone is safe out there.…
The shock of last week still has a little residue, but we're trying to push through the madness. Nate wants to dive into the recent news of the newest sexiest man.
