This is one of Paul’s prison epistles and is considered to be the book of “joy”. Paul wrote this book while suffering in prison in Rome. This letter brings forth the humiliation, incarnation, and exaltation of Christ. Paul urges us as Christians to grow in Christlikeness.

Paul continues his discipleship of the saints in Corinth. Following his first letter, he saw some growth but he also saw a continued deviation from the Word of God. He defends his apostleship and points the Corinthians to Christ for their continued sanctification.

Paul wrote this corrective letter to the church in Galatia because the believers were being fooled by legalistic Jews in their understanding of grace; they were thinking they could add to God's grace and gain His acceptance by keeping God’s ceremonial laws that He had given to Jews.
