How to keep moving forward, even when you have no idea where you're going
Manage episode 341303044 series 2928023
This week, I got into the top 10 in an international speaking competition. Never in my life have I set forth a goal to "be in the top 10 in an international speaking competition." So how did I get here?
I followed my joy. I did things that were fun. Along the way, I honed my skills in areas that were enjoyable and – lo and behold – I ENJOY SPEAKING. Who knew?
Definitely NOT the Jen of 2-3 years ago. I can tell you that with utter certainty.
I share this story in this episode as a reminder to myself, and a lesson to all who are willing to listen. You may not know the final destination, but there is a sure-fire way to get you to the perfect place at any given time: Follow what brings you joy.
