Season 2: Episode 1: Confessions for Transformation with Stephanie
Stephanie was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin, and then moved to Rockford, Illinois to live with her mom. In August 2020 she made another decision to relocate. She felt that her home was really in Las Vegas. Stephanie currently works in healthcare as a financial navigator, and recently has started her own business. Her company is a t-shirt and apparel company called His Masterpiece. In this episode, Stephanie will talk to us about her childhood memories that inspired her through her journey in life.
Episode highlights:
06:32 - I was speechless. I had to put the book down several times because that's my uncle, who I was raised to love, to respect who I felt would protect me, who took care of me. And just reading that book sent me back to really reminiscing about my childhood.
15:14 - I actually witnessed that as a young child as well. I was probably only seven. My great-grandfather, my mom's grandpa, he would expose himself to my cousins and me, and we would just look like, what are you doing?
18:41 - I'm doing whatever I want at such a young age. I want to grow out of it. You know, I hung around all my cousins that were grown. So just experiencing all of this. It's like, oh, okay. I could be going through now. I'm an alpha child. I'm still a kid. But I was acting grown, and doing grown things.
20:01 - I know people probably would say things about me having a child at a young age, but guess what? It didn't stop anything. It didn't stop my success. It didn't stop anything that God had planned in my life and for me and my purpose. Every year, every milestone I hit, you know, whatever was in my purpose, there was nothing that was going to hold me back.
28:16 - I'm trying to ignore that. Ignore negativity on all levels, staying focused, remaining humble and grateful. You have to remain humble and you have to always be grateful.
29:48 - I tried my best to shine a light on that because that's what I feel has brought me into this point as well. And doing your best to be the best that God has created you to be. He's going to do the rest. He will do the rest, he will.
37:18 - I decided to be loyal to him and allow him to leave me and lean, not on my own understanding. And he has blown me away since. And he's going to continue to go on your way. And that's what he's going to do. But, even when it feels like the world is against you, God is always with you.
44:09 - Take your time and take a month that has 31 days and read Proverbs one a day, just one a day. It would change me, I promise you it will change your life because I learned so much from the book of Proverbs and you know, you always hear people talk about that.
46:30 - I'm found blessed. I'm inspired. I'm stronger than ever. I'm hopeful, I'm forgiven and I'm most importantly loved because I'm loved by our God, you know? And I don't know who your God is, but I know who my God is. He shows up and contacts me every time.
