Then the gang discusses their first time watching To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar, an Americanised take on a very similar story of queer city-slicker fabulosity stuck in a remote backwater town.
Why is one film so beloved, 'daggily Australian', and perhaps before its time (with a few notable scenes as exceptions), and the other feels somewhat static, with Swayze, Snipes and Leguizamo just as stranded as their admittedly very entertained viewers? it's time to make your choice, and DO fuck it up
