This episode’s guest is social worker and breast cancer survivor, Christen Williams. Except she didn’t survive; she PREvived. Christen lost her mother to this cruel disease, and so inheriting the rare, mutated BRCA gene she opted for a double mastectomy to dramatically reduce the chance of getting breast cancer herself.
After tirelessly running a campaign to raise awareness and support for BRCA sufferers, Christen has recently set up a charity – BRCACHAT - to help those dealing with their own associated situation.
It affects men, too, so this podcast is invaluable for every one of every age.
It’s unlikely you’ll ever meet someone who has extracted so much positivity from such a dramatic, life-changing experience as Christen Williams. We salute her in this fantastic episode.
