Detroit Lions Lose Yet Again

According to Microsoft Bing The Lions have a 10.5% chance of going 0-17 to become the worst ever. The Detroit Lions hold the distinction of being the first 0-16 team before the Cleveland Browns joined them. Hue Jackson coached an even more dysfunctional Browns team back then. But much like that lead to Baker Mayfield and the 0-16 Detroit Lions lead to Matthew Stafford coming to Detroit there’s hope. However this year's NFL Draft class doesn’t have the sure fire Quarterback stud in its class.

“The Detroit Lions have the best chance to pick at No. 1 in the 2022 NFL draft, according to the updated draft order projections (1 to 32) from the ESPN Football Power Index (FPI). The Lions are the last winless team in 2021 after the Jacksonville Jaguars broke their 20-game losing streak with a win over the Miami Dolphins in London. With the win, the Jaguars are now projected to have the No. 3 pick.

There already have been five trades involving first-round picks in the 2022 draft, with the New York Giants projected to have two top-11 picks. The Philadelphia Eagles are currently projected to have three top-15 picks, thanks to deals with the Dolphins and the Indianapolis Colts -- the latter of which involves a conditional pick based on quarterback Carson Wentz's playing time. After spraining both ankles in Week 2, Wentz has played every snap since.”

Number One Overall Pick Cade Cunningham To Miss Pistons Opener-

Pistons guard Cade Cunningham has been ruled out of the team's season-opening game against the Chicago Bulls due to a sprained right ankle.

Detroit will host the Bulls on Wednesday night without Cunningham, the No. 1 overall pick in this year's NBA draft. Cunningham hurt his ankle early in training camp and did not play in the preseason.

Detroit is counting on the 6-foot-8 guard to help restore success.

The Pistons have earned a spot in the playoffs just twice since 2009, when they ended an eight-year playoff run that included their third NBA championship, two Eastern Conference titles and six trips to the conference finals.
