The reason being, when you're in the moment, your brain tried to "normalize" the situation, and refused to believe some disaster has happened!

In this episode, I once again have Amanda Ripley, American Journalist, and Author, on to talk about one of her older books, The Unthinkable: Who Survives When Disaster Strikes - and Why. We breakdown the 9/11 stories, what are the trait of the people that can "function" during a disaster and intense situation, also what can we do to prepare ourselves for said situation.
