The Honorable Judge Curtis L. Collier is the special guest on #INTHEHUDDLE with Lurone "Coach" Jennings. This is the first of a two-part series that is focuses on The Honorable Judge Collier's upbringing, his journey to #TennesseeStateUniversity, #DukeUniversity, #AirForce, the lessons he learned along the way. Part two is a continuation as Judge Collier shares a great lesson on the Judicial Process and the importance of Civics being taught in the school systems. The Honorable Judge Curtis L. Colliers serves as the Senior U.S. District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee. He was nominated by President William J. Clinton on February 13, 1995, to a new seat authorized by 104 Stat. 5089. Judge Collier was confirmed by the Senate on May 8, 1995 and received commission on May 10, 1995. He currently served as Chief Judge, 2005-2012 and assumed senior status on October 31, 2014. His Educational Career includes Tennessee State University, B.S., 1971 and Duke University School of Law, J.D., 1974. Professional Career includes the U.S. Air Force, 1974-1979, Assistant U.S. attorney, Eastern District of Louisiana, 1979-1987, Assistant U.S. attorney, Eastern District of Tennessee, 1987-1995 Board member and Federal Judicial Center, 2015-2019
