An unlikely friendship formed between Johnna and I while stationed in Great Lakes, IL. Though we spoke often before I got out of the military, I never really knew her whole story prior to her arrival at my duty station. And I didn't know what horrible events were to take take place after I discharged. In this episode I learn all about the harassment she endured beginning at MEPS. I learn about trials she faced in Hawaii and what caused her to decided to leave the Navy. I also discover how her transition out lead her to becoming a life coach. This is a big episode and it was an amazing, authentic conversation with a friend that I have had for nearly 25 years.
