なにか事件が起きたとき、その人が所属する団体（会社など）は、その事件で被害を受けた人に対して「会社として謝罪する」と言うことがある。その時は「このたび・・・を起こしまして・・・」と謝ることが多い。 今回の場合では「本来はネイチャーに論文を出しただけなので、格別、社会にご迷惑をおかけしたのではないのですが、理研が派手に記者発表をしたために、皆様に過大のご期待を・・・」というようなことになるだろう。
