#123- What Does "Foodie" Mean?

Today we cover another new word or phrase that you may not be familiar with in today's"What does this mean?" episode.
In these episodes, we take a word that you may think that you know the meaning of.
What is different about this episode is that you will learn a new word or phrase that has a different meaning in modern conversational "Social English".
Today's word is..."Foodie".
This word is very popular around the world now, mostly because of Instagram.
There are also many Youtube channels focused on this topic.
You should know what the normal word"food" means.
Now let's define it so you can understand today's word better: It has 2 parts: “food”, and, ”ie”.
Food- something that we eat that gives us nutrition.
Here is an example: "Hey Casey, let’s go get some food!"
That sentence and that definition are of course correct.
But...when we add “ie” to the end, it has a new modern meaning.
