Viktor Bout, a convicted Russian arms trafficker serving a 25-year US prison sentence. Bout is reported to have supplied weapons to Hezbollah, according to The Guardian. He reportedly flew weapons to both the Taliban and their foes, the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan. Through a front company, he allegedly even won a contract to deliver FedEx packages to Baghdad.

Bout was arrested in Thailand in 2008 after he was lured there by US DEA agents posing as Colombian rebels. He was extradited to the US in 2010 against Russian objections, and ultimately convicted by a Manhattan jury in 2011 for conspiring to sell weapons to a designated foreign terrorist group.

This is who the Biden administration has offered to exchange as part of a potential deal to secure the release of two Americans held by Russia, Brittney Griner and Paul Whelan. The US government has long resisted prisoner swaps, claiming concerns that they only incentivize countries to detain Americans so they can be used as bargaining chips. Looks like Russia has figured this game out. Sounds like a pretty shitty trade to me.

School is back in session and many teachers have been told, “remember, parents, are not entitled to know their kids’ identities. That knowledge must be earned.”

This disturbing trend is just one of the many controversies surrounding school districts across our nation. Many teacher training sessions focus on “equity, diversity and inclusion” included several references to keeping parents from being informed about their children.

They are beyond merely "wrong". Parents are the ones who have ultimate responsibility for their children. Anyone who disagrees with that should never be in a position of authority in any school, period.

Sadly, this is part of a dangerous trend of progressive re-education and radical liberal activists. Blatant disregard for the rights of parents and absolute disdain and contempt for family as a whole. If identity questions regarding a student can be hidden from parents, can the school also withhold critical information about “diet, curriculum, healthcare, inappropriate relationships, mental health concerns, etc.” from parents? These are the actions of tyrants and social re-education propagandists. It was wrong when Mao did it, and its still wrong now. Parents need to put their foot down, protect your children and put an end to this progressive social re-education and indoctrination before its too late.
