Kanjani8 is a Johnny’s Entertainment idol group whose members hail from Osaka and Kyoto. As de facto ambassadors of western Japan, they have accomplished several impressive feats since starting their career in 2002, including a national tour of each of Japan’s forty-seven prefectures, dozens of consecutive number one hit singles, and even founding an independent record label within Johnny’s Entertainment for greater artistic freedom.
