Manage episode 321914838 series 2974715
Today’s class is a 60 minute Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lesson. It is an introductory class to my upcoming 8-week Feldenkrais series, Generating Choices, which will both be taught live and be available via recordings.
You can find links for more information about this upcoming series here:
There is a pay as able option for this series, as I hope to make this work accessible for all.
Please approach this class with ease. This is different from yoga, where you may arrive in an asana and stay there. Instead we are doing small movements. You will repeat the directions slowly and rest in between actions. If you have never done a Feldenkrais® lesson, I suggest you read these guidelines for practicing Awareness Through Movement.
You can find more subtle body Feldenkrais audio classes on my website Body Matter, as well as registration for live online classes, self-paced courses and the Body Matter library membership. Right now I am offering a free 10 day trial for my library membership. The library has over 200 yoga video classes and Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement audio classes. If you resonate with my teaching and this way of learning, check out the Body Matter Library membership which includes livestream classes and recordings.

Sarah has been creating podcast classes since 2007. Each podcast is an originally crafted class taught by Sarah Baumert. Sarah's teaching is alignment based, unhurried, and rich with somatic inquiries. The cueing is effective, easy to follow, and uses visualizations of postures to allow for unexpected growth and depth. You will find live unplugged versions of her classes from yoga studios, as well as classes that are specifically produced for the podcast medium.
