I am sincere to others, what if others are not sincere to me? And Itreat others with kindness, what if others treat me with malice? Stubbornlysticking to kindness is doomed to being bullied?

Kindness is by no means equal to being weak and easily bullied, butinstead a kind of power to see the light, to conquer the dark and to awaken thegood. It’s just when you want to give up kindness that shows your innerweakness. Everybody should have been born to be kind. Without a kind heart, whowould have been happy even if achieving a temporary success? More importantly, good deeds lead to good results, and evil ones bad consequences. Never justlook at one thing at a time and seek quick success and instant gain for now.

Usually, good people are apt to be bullied in social reality, justas strong horses are likely to be ridden. Even with a good heart, I stillrepeatedly suffer losses and setbacks. How should it be explained?

Don’t impute losses and setbacks to kindness, but have such athought: what is the cause and effect? The situation here and now is the resultof many causes and conditions working together. Kindness is our attitude andchoice in dealing with people. We tend to not see clearly the causal effectsand conditions, but fall into thinking nonsense in adversity. That’s why weneed to learn more about the law of karma based on acquiring knowledge andskill.

Why do good people always get hurt?

The harm from others is not in that we are kind, but in that we arenot strong enough.
