Back in the Great Recession, Chris Prefontaine realized that how he was investing in real estate wasn’t going to work for him anymore. With 23 properties in a bad spot, it took him 4 years to dig out of the hole he was in.
Chris joins Adam Schroeder to discuss the lessons he learned from that time, and how he’s investing now to protect himself from repeating his original mistakes.
Chris Prefontaine is the bestselling author of Real Estate On Your Terms: Create Continuous Cash Flow Now, Without Using Your Cash Or Credit and the new book Sell with Authority for Real Estate Investors: Your Road Map to Defining It, Earning It, and Monetizing It!; he is the host of the Smart Real Estate Coach Podcast. He’s also the founder of Smart Real Estate Coach. He has been involved in the construction of over 100+ single family homes (1990’s), owner/broker of a Realty Executives Franchise (Massachusetts 1994-2000) which eventually sold to Coldwell Banker in 2000. The 2000’s included coaching people throughout US and Canada and doing condo conversions (multi family homes to condos) and “raise the roof” projects (converting single family ranches to colonials in growth neighborhoods).
