Happy New Year and welcome to the very first episode of the Reclaim Your Rise podcast for 2023! We are starting off strong with DCB graduate Tess Jablon on the show today.

Tess was diagnosed with type one diabetes 30 years ago at the age of seven and later also received a PCOS diagnosis, which, if you weren’t already aware, happens to about one in four T1D women.

Before enrolling in Risley's Deciding Conquer Group Coaching Bootcamp, Tess was feeling stuck in a cycle of negativity and the belief that she was a failure. After completing the DCB, she not only lowered her A1C from an 11.8 to an 8.3, but also found autonomy over her own body. Now she's here, on the other side of learning to work with her diabetes, with a newfound confidence and peace of mind that we should all strive for.

In this conversation, which covers such a range of topics, Tess shares...

  • The importance of finding community and building a support system when living with T1D and PCOS
  • The tools that she used to overcome the negative cycles she was stuck in with her diabetes management
  • Her newfound perspective on having type one diabetes and why she believes it’s a gift
  • and... so much more!

If you can relate to Tess’s story and feel inspired to transform your own relationship with diabetes, we have a few spots open in our January 2023 Decide + Conquer Bootcamp. Learn more and apply HERE by Sunday, January 8th.
