In this episode, Matt and Braden interview the first ever Miss Wheelchair Canada, Vahen King, about the restoration God did in her marriage after she committed adultery and wanted a divorce.

Insecurities came to the surface
Vahen was newly engaged when transverse myelitis attacked her body, putting her in a wheelchair. This compounded insecurities that already existed because she wanted no one to see her in a chair. Her fiancé, Vaughan, stood by her side, but the pain of her new reality exposed many insecurities inside of Vahen that came to the surface in marriage.

Your spouse's pain is not about you
Vaughan responded to Vahen's infidelity and request for separation by saying he was going to stay strong and look himself in the mirror first. He didn't call Vahen bad names or yell at her, and he even showed grace towards other men trying to get Vahen's attention online. He understood that Vahen had hurts that led to the behaviour and he chose to 'sit in the junk' with her. They both took responsibility for themselves, rather than getting bitter towards their spouse. The hard, selfless, Spirit-led work was worth it to get to where they are today!

Take the masks off
Vahen has numerous accolades and awards that she has won, but in a church service God said something profound to her that changer her life. He said, "It's great that you can give me all of the things you like about yourself, but I want all of you." God was pulling her out of a performance mindset where she had to hide certain parts of herself she didn't like. As she followed God's lead, she's become a public speaker even though she gets nervous, an author even though spelling is a weak spot for her, and a wife to a man she had previously fallen out of love with.
