Ep 57: Four-Year Follow-Up with Donette Subron (Pregnancies, Losses, Motherhood & The Stories In-Between)
Manage episode 448887391 series 2862812
Donette first joined us for an interview in 2020 (Ep 13: Pregnancy & Loss in a Foreign Country). Today, she’s sharing how her journey has unfolded over the past four years. This includes three pregnancies (including being pregnant with twins) and curveball after curveball with unexpected losses, medical support, invasive procedures, the birth of a preemie, and life in the NICU.
I marvel at what it sometimes takes to bring these precious little ones into the world. 💖
It was inspiring to hear the layers of support Donette called on during her journey, how the last few years have shaped her, and ways that she practiced self-advocacy when working with her medical team. She shared that a previous episode I did with Tia DeShazor on Birthing in Community (Ep 41) emboldened her to speak up to have her needs met. Yess! May we continue to be a source of fire and encouragement for each other!
