*NO SPOILERS*

Welcome to a new kind of episode on Pop Fiction Women where we take you behind the scenes on our thought process for picking content and where we try to convince each other (and our listeners) to watch a show we love.

** Wandavision. Carinn explains why even if you have never watched a superhero franchise movie, you’re going to want to watch Wandavision anyway, which blends the classic family sitcom with the classic comic book drama.

** Complicated Woman: Wanda. Carinn argues that the reason to watch Wandavision is for the revolutionary, complex portrayal of Wanda, played brilliantly by Elizabeth Olsen. She does everything in true superhero fashion even though it is common or mundane -- like being a wife and mother -- but in the end it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before in a superhero character.

** Scenes and Themes. Wandavision is a show about grief, loss, pain, domestic life, love, motherhood, life in the suburbs, the fuzzy line between good and evil, and sibling issues. Carinn highlights the penultimate episode as a standout, as well as the finale. Elisabeth Olsen and Kathyrn Hahn are persuasive reasons to tune in too!

** What She Said: Jac Schaeffer. By the end of this “what she said” segment, Jac Schaeffer is now our “superhero” -- we were beyond impressed with her ambition, her career trajectory and how she found her voice. (24:10)
