Its founder and principal, Dan Sandman, Esq., has been a licensed attorney for nearly 20 years. For nearly 8 years, Dan led a leading medical expert witness and consulting agency, American Medical Forensic Specialists ("AMFS"), helming the company as President for 5 years, and seeing it successfully through 2 acquisitions, the pandemic and exponential growth. Dan started Sandman Legal Services in February of 2022 where he combines his legal expertise and medical expert witness industry knowledge in providing legal and consulting services to the medical expert witness community.

We talk today about the business aspect of being a medical expert. How do we end up on the list, do we really need to take a course first, why is it important to have a retainer (and why lawyers need a retainer to write your retainer), and how to set our fees. This interview was full of brass tacks advice and will likely be the first of many with Dan.
