I have worn glasses since I was about 13 years old. I see everything through two lenses that I wear at all times and I would not be able to see anything correctly without these lenses. We all interpret our world through a lens. Our understanding of right and wrong, good and evil, normal and absurd all are part of this lens. We are constantly developing our lens as we experience and learn new things. Things outside of us, such as world events, technology, and culture, change how we see the world as well. Should we all be left to come up with our own way of interpreting the world? Is one way better than another and, if so, what is the standard? This sermon looks at Colossians 2:8-15 and is called "Seeing Through the Lens of Christ." In this passage, Paul challenges us to weigh every truth through the lens of who Christ is and what he has done. I pray we will take this to heart and be challenged to see our lives and our world through the lens of the truth of Jesus Christ.
