Have you been wondering how to make the big pivot to virtual events? Are you a complete newbie when it comes to event technology and the virtual event world? As we speak with guest speakers and discuss our own experiences with the virtual and hybrid event industry, we will be going through the challenges you may face along the way and how to overcome these.

With the current situation, the rise and requirement for virtual and hybrid events are definitely on the rise - have you made the move yet? Listen to our live podcast every week on our Facebook page, or you can listen to the podcast version to find out how you can make your online events simple.

Jennifer is an entrepreneur, a highly regarded event industry expert and tech founder. For over 20 years, Jennifer has been obsessed with teams, tools, and innovation that make the event journey more intuitive, streamlined and delightful for all. After orchestrating nearly 600 experiences during her tenure, VOW was born. VOW is dedicated to transforming the future of events for the people who plan them. VOW helps an entire ecosystem plan faster, stronger and better allowing everyone to do more, make more and take time back.

She begins by explaining the reasoning behind her starting VOW. She states that she felt as though she wanted to be more interactive with her clients in a more efficient way by shortening the number of steps of repetitive work flows. Jennifer tells us how coronavirus has affected her and how she has learnt to be more agile and look for the gaps in the industry. This followed on to the discussion about where she thinks the events industry will be in the coming years, and speaks very hopeful for the industry. Additionally, she’s aware of the errors that come along with virtual events, and gives some advice for event organisers who are dependent on unreliable connections. She gives her view on where she's see’s the clubhouse going in the future and the positive outcomes that the platform brings to the industry.

EventMind does not endorse any particular virtual event platform or software. We review the platforms available on the market monthly (through a combination of client feedback, test events and demos). There’s no platform which is an ‘all in one’ or ‘all inclusive’ solution when it comes to virtual event platforms. Bear in mind, most virtual event platforms were originally live event apps or software. Covid19 accelerated many platforms to pivot into creating virtual event solutions. In the long run, this seems to be a smart move as hybrid events are likely to become standard (especially if you understand how to monetize hybrid events and maximise global audience reach).
