Yard Sales in Boston (Red Sox Recap, 8/24-8/26)
Manage episode 300897333 series 2793221
The Twins and Red Sox go yard a combined 16 times at Fenway in a three-game series Minnesota seemed quite content to lose, once they were faced with ace Chris Sale in the rubber match. David and Dan discuss the disappointing pitching performances from Griffin Jax and John Gant, and David dwells particularly on the blown save by Alexander Colome. Dan praises the work of the unsinkable Jake Cave and Willians Astudillo, two players earlier this year both Dan and David were convinced would be gone from Minnesota by summer. Still, the boys admire the Twins' pluck in the first two games, and even in defeat, it's fun to watch a game played at Fenway during a Red Sox playoff push. Up next, a visit to Target Field from the Brewers and the potential return of Byron Buxton to the Twins' lineup.
