She is trained in law, and is a community organizer and campaigner in migrant justice, anti-capitalist, feminist, and anti-imperialist movements, including No One Is Illegal and Women’s Memorial March Committee. In this episode we talk to her about her latest book Border & Rule: Global Migration, Capitalism, and the Rise of Racist Nationalism, which further examines border imperialism and the features of racial capitalism and imperialism which produce the conditions necessitating migration and then criminalize and punish migrants and refugees.
