Arguably the biggest recruiting win in the Steve Sarkisian era outside of Arch Manning took place yesterday, when Anthony Hill committed to the University of Texas. Texas has had no trouble recruiting some of the top players in the country, but they did struggle to recruit top edge players, linebackers and even quarterbacks at times. Sark has silenced those critics with the commitment of Arch Manning, and the flips of players like Anthony Hill and Colton Vasek from Texas A&M and Oklahoma respectively. Anthony Hill is rated as the best linebacker in the country and when you put on the film it's not hard to see why. He has exceptional football IQ and can be the quarterback of a championship level defense, he is amazing at getting downhill and stopping the run whether inside or outside and he continues to improve his coverage ability which is paramount these days. He also can be used as a blitzer, which he has shown a knack for as well. Texas proved last season that you can come here and be great not only individually but as a unit on the defensive side.
