‘Living with Ovarian Cancer’ is a Podcast full of inspiring stories told by Women or their loved ones, who themselves have lived with, or are still living with Ovarian Cancer.

Each Woman’s story is a gift, unique and is told from the heart in their own words.

I am your host, Diane Evans-Wood. In this episode, it’s just me, and I’ll be talking about some of my experiences regarding living with Ovarian Cancer at Christmas. I describe the sadness, fears and the emotions that we can go through at this special time of year. I hope that both my personal and professional experiences will be of benefit to you and help you to plan your own festive season a little easier.

You can find the Blog “Last Christmas”, that I refer to in this episode by following the link: https://dianeevanswood.wordpress.com/2019/11/07/last-christmas/

It’s 2020 and we have the added complication of the worldwide pandemic Covid-19, which is creating huge dilemmas for those of us who are living with serious health issues. I will touch on some of those dilemmas in this episode and try to make sense of them.

Content warning: I talk about dying and my sadness surrounding potentially this being my last Christmas.

Disclaimer: Each story in this Podcast is unique to the woman who is telling it. The content of each episode and the views expressed are not meant to be a substitute for medical advice or intervention. You will hear stories of women who sought alternative therapies, integrated oncology services or even choosing to decline treatment options. However, this is their story, and I am not advocating that you follow the path of any one woman who features in the podcast. If you have a diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer, please make sure that you discuss anything that is going to affect your treatment or wellbeing with your own Medical team. You are unique and so what’s right for one woman may not be right for you!
