I wasn't so sure I was going to love Sky in this story. And I really didn't think Cathryn Fox was going to make Sky's love for Matt believable but she did that. Matt has become my favorite of this series and he had some tough competition. Great Read! I really liked the premise of the book. Sky, Matt and Caleb have been best friends forever, and Sky is really crushing on Caleb while Matt is crushing on her. There are antics and shenanigans and lots of funny moments courtesy of some of their other friends. A lot of heat and a great read, definitely will read more by this author, who is new to me. My favorite in the series (so far) Love, love, LOVED this story. Matt and Sky have been my favorite characters and their story made me love them even more. HEA in the best possible way! I have been very fortunate to have read many of Ms. Foxâs books and each one is just as good or better than the last. This book is first-rate, complete with two made for each other characters, desire, and a little bit of kink. The author incorporates two of my favorite romance tropes into the story; friends to lovers and unrequited love. Local bar owner Skylar Redmond, and hopeful doctor-to-be and ex-military man Matt James, have been best friends since grade school. Matt has been in love with Skylar forever, and only wants her to be happy. So when Skylar wants to get romantically involved with their good friend Caleb, Matt forgoes his feelings and helps them get together. However, due to circumstances beyond their control, they end up in bed together, enjoying the steamiest and best sex of their lives. Matt is an alpha in the bedroom and Skylar just loves how he makes her feel. Consequently, Skylar begins to question her attraction to Caleb, as Matt struggles to control his jealousy. Wow, this is a truly sexy read and as a result, I will never look at a cupcake the same way again. Skylar and Matt are an engaging twosome and challenge each other without even knowing it.
