(2 Samuel 23:2 NLT) The Spirit of the Lord speaks through me; his words are upon my tongue.

(使徒 1:8 JCB) しかし、聖霊があなたがたに下る時、あなたがたは大きな力を受け、エルサレムからユダヤ全土、そしてサマリヤから地の果てまで、わたしの死と復活を伝える証人となります。」

(Acts 1:8 NLT) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

その場にいた全員が聖霊に満たされた

Everyone there was filled with the Holy Spirit

(使徒 2:1-4 JCB) さて、イエスの死と復活から、七週間が過ぎました。五旬節（ユダヤ教の祭りの一つ）の日のことです。信者たちが一堂に集まっていると、(2)突然、天からものすごい音がしました。まるで、激しい風が吹きつけるような音です。それが、家全体にごうごうと響き渡ったのです。(3)そして、めらめら燃える炎の舌のようなものが現れ、みなの頭上にとどまりました。(4)するとどうでしょう。その場にいた人たちは、みな聖霊に満たされ、知りもしない外国語で話し始めたではありませんか。聖霊が、それだけの力を与えてくださったのです。

(Acts 2:1-4 NLT) On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. (2) Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting.(3) Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them.(4) And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

聖霊に満たされたペテロが大胆に語り始める

Spirit-filled Peter started speaking boldly

(使徒 2:12-14 JCB) 人々はただ呆然として、「いったい、どうなっているのだ」と顔を見合わせました。(13) しかし中には、「何、彼らは酔っぱらっているだけさ」と、あざける者たちもいました。(14) するとペテロが、十一人の使徒と共につかつかと進み出て、声を張り上げ、人々に語りかけました。「よそから来られた方も、エルサレムに住んでおられる皆さんも、どうぞお聞きください。

(Acts 2:12-14 NLT) They stood there amazed and perplexed. “What can this mean?” they asked each other.(13) But others in the crowd ridiculed them, saying, “They’re just drunk, that’s all!”(14) Then Peter stepped forward with the eleven other apostles and shouted to the crowd, “Listen carefully, all of you, fellow Jews and residents of Jerusalem! Make no mistake about this.

ペテロの大胆なことばに人々の心は強く打たれた

Peter’s bold preaching pierced the hearts of the people

(使徒 2:37-38 JCB) ペテロのことばは、人々の心を強く打ちました。「それでは、私たちはどうすればいいのでしょう。」あちらからもこちらからも、使徒たちへの質問の声があがりました。(38) ペテロは答えました。「一人一人、罪の生活から悔い改めて神に立ち返りなさい。そして、罪を赦していただくために、イエス・キリストの名によってバプテスマ（洗礼）を受けなさい。そうすれば、聖霊という賜物をいただけます。

(Acts 2:37-38 NLT) Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”(38) Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

(使徒 2:40-41 JCB) このあとも、ペテロの説教はえんえんと続きました。イエスのことや、悪に満ちたこの時代から救われなければならないことを、ことばを尽くして訴えたのです。(41) この日、ペテロの言うことを信じた人はバプテスマを受けましたが、その数は全部で三千人ほどでした。

(Acts 2:40-41 NLT) Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!”(41) Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.

1. 聖霊の力によって私たちは大胆に語ることができる

The Holy Spirit makes us BOLD to speak

(2テモテ 1:7 JCB) 神が私たちに与えてくださったものは、おくびょうの霊ではなく、力と愛と慎みとの霊です。

(2 Timothy 1:7 NLT) For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

2. 聖霊の力によって私たちは良い言葉(良い知らせ)を話すことができる

The Holy Spirit makes us speak good words (Good News)

(1コリント14:1,3 JCB) 愛を、最高の目標にしなさい。それと共に、聖霊が与えてくださる賜物、特に、神のことばを伝える預言の賜物を求めなさい。…しかし、神から託されたことばを語る者は、人々を励まし、慰め、人々の主にある成長を助けます。

(1 Corinthians 14:1,3 ERV) Love should be the goal of your life, but you should also want to have the gifts that come from the Spirit. And the gift you should want most is to be able to prophesy…(3) But those who prophesy are speaking to people. They help people grow stronger in faith, and they give encouragement and comfort.
