June is PTSD awareness month, so we want to acknowledge everyone that is suffering from a form of PTSD this month. Join Dr. Toni to learn about an effective holistic technique to manage PTSD. For those living with PTSD, taking the time to include relaxation techniques in their everyday lives is especially important. That is why on today’s show we are going to be talking about a yoga technique called Nidra, this technique is often used to help with PTSD. It is simple to learn, easy to practice, and is designed to help you meet, greet, and respond to each moment of your life with a sense of equanimity and well-being. My guest for today is Dr. Gretchen Pound, Dr. Gretchen is a Clinical Psychologist who has been in private practice since 2005 and works primarily with families, individuals, children, teens and elderly who are healing emotional trauma, resolving internal conflict and may be dealing with physical pain. She specializes in integrated psychology that is where Clinical Psychology meets eastern philosophies. Dr. Gretchen offers traditional one-on-one therapy as well as workshops using integrated techniques including EMDR, yoga, meditation and energy psychology.
