6. Addressing climate education with Estrella and the Climate Protection project
Manage episode 313024661 series 3256228
Our first participant from the Madrid-Valencia Journey, Estrella Garcia Gomez, explains us how her group called Climate Protection translates complex scientific reports into more easily understandable language for the public. Because of their group diversity the content of their website (https://globalclimateprote.wixsite.com/mysiteenglish) is available in Chinese, Spanish and English. Estrella is very concerned about food waste and gives some great key advice for beginners in climate education: "Start with really small steps that affect your personal life. And once you have achieved those personal steps you can try to teach someone around you, so they do the same things as you do. And therewith small steps will grow into bigger ones."
Estrella refers to the company Too Good to Go. Check out this link to explore a successful and sustainable app against global food waste: https://toogoodtogo.org/en/
