ROE V WADE (1973) was an infamous act of raw judicial power that deprived self-determination of individual states and the peoples represented therein, creating a right to kill unborn children based upon shadows ("penumbra"), from conception through all nine months and beyond, for any reason. On Friday, June 24, 2022, it was overturned on the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a day otherwise reserved for the Feast of St. John the Baptist, commemorating the profound communication between two, unborn persons who changed the course of human history. The fault line in our humanity is all the more open.
