Welcome to the Great Women in Compliance Podcast, co-hosted by Lisa Fine and Mary Shirley.

One of the best things about the Great Women in Compliance podcast is the community that we have built, and it is the theme of this week's episode. Lisa interviews Rashada Timkee, Compliance Risk Management Officer, VP, at Citibank, and has built her community with a service mindset. Rashada has been involved in various outreach activities over several years, which pre-dates her compliance career, and that work has shaped her views and ways of working.

Rashada is a first-generation college graduate and continues to give back. Rashada has used her background in the banking industry and retail to support underserved communities and has been a mentor and support to many people - and she has pivoted to new volunteer endeavors online during this pandemic. She talks about how this outreach has also strengthened her work with her team and others.

They also discuss Rashada's commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and her reflections on this and where we need to go as a compliance community. We also ask Rashada what advice she would give to her daughter or younger self...and it is advice benefits anyone.
