In the beginning of the podcast, your teachers introduce themselves as a tea-lover and as a cicada-noise lover. Teacher Mina mentions that in the Philippines, there is no rich tea culture so she was not a big fan of but now, she can't live without tea. As for Teacher Marilou, she didn't use to lie cicada noises but now, she likes the thought that it signals summer in Japan. Teacher Marilou uses the introduction part as a stepping stone to the topic she wrote, which is using "got used to." Teacher Marilou points out that the phrase got used to is from the phrase get used to which means you have become familiar or accustomed to an action in the past and that it is no longer unusual or strange for you now. She also highlights its structure being: 1. Got used to + noun phrase; 2. Got used to + verb (-ing form). Teacher Mina then takes over the pronunciation practice portion by teaching you the natural way of pronouncing "got used to" altogether.
