Private sector bosses are expected to follow the Government's lead in putting the brakes on wages.
The Government's insisting it's a pay restraint, rather than a pay freeze.
It's backtracked slightly after meeting major unions, saying pay rates will now be reviewed around six months earlier than it initially said.
Unionist and former Labour Chief of Staff, Matt McCarten, told Kate Hawkesby it will affect hundreds of thousands of workers.
‘Every boss in the private sector that I know, because I’m going to be there, they’re going to say this is about wage restraint. The government are taking the lead. There’s going to be excuses for workers not to get anything.”
