Mumbai October, 2020 Power Outage: A Chinese Ploy

Mumbai faced a major power outage in October, 2020 that led to the power grid and critical business infrastructure being rendered inoperable, till the flaws were set right. Recently an US-based firm -Recorded Future, reported a Chinese hand in the Cyber-attack that led to the crippling of the power grid.

In military circuits, it’s often discussed that the next battle will first be fought in the Cyber space, thereafter in space and finally on land, sea and air. India needs to safeguard its critical networks, with more and more cyber-attacks being reported, their intensity having increased simultaneous with the Chinese incursions in Eastern Ladakh.
