Isaac Mizrahi steps Behind The Rope. Yes, THAT Isaac Mizrahi. Living Legend, Fashion Icon Isaac Mizrahi. Nothing more needs to be said! However, did you know Isaac can also sing and is quite the comedian? Isaac takes time out of his busy day to chat about his “Isaac at Cafe Carlyle” virtual concert series, the third of which premieres tomorrow night (on BroadwayWorld Streaming Platform) with special guest Orange Is The New Black’s Lea DeLaria. Isaac discusses how he and the brilliant Lea DeLaria met on a flight from, he thinks, Indianapolis, and it was love at first sight. He also discusses the musical inspirations that help shape each evening’s set list which has even been known to include classics by Queen Madonna. Speaking of Isaac’s friend Madonna, who doesn’t Isaac know, we discuss the evolution of her career, and fashion, from the 1980s (think Virgin Bracelets) to the modern day Madge we see on our daily Instagram visits. While we have him, we chat with Isaac about his best and not so best dressed list among both the Hollywood A list as well as his many Housewife Friends, he knows ‘em all kids. Speaking of people Isaac knows, we chat about friend Sarah Jessica Parker’s return to Sex and the City and whether he might be making another cameo in the reboot. We also chat about the presence of the uber-famous who have entered the fashion and modeling game, think Kim Kardashian, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Kayne West and Gigi Hadid. Finally, Issac opens up about his many year long foray into Reality TV on various shows such as Bravo’s “The Fashion Show”, “The Issac Mizrahi Show”, and last, but certainly not least, “Project Runway: All Stars”- Alyssa Milano we see you - not to mention the before it’s time Sundance Winning “Unzipped” documentary based on Isaac’s life.
