We start at the beginning chatting about how Carol was cast, the buzz around town about Aaron Spelling's new teen drama, and just what life was like in the early days when all of its cast were virtual unknowns. Life was anything but stellar. We chat about the show premiered to blah ratings and how that one unprecedented decision to air new “Beverly Beach” episodes over the summer changed everything. Carol discusses what it was like when the relatively unknown cast skyrocketed to fame of epic proportions and answers all out nuanced questions about Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Luke Perry, Jason Priestley, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Ian Ziering. We talk about all the buzzed about topics from back in the day - Tori auditioning under a fake name, Shannen Doherty’s bad behavior, Shannen and Jennie’s physical altercation and Shannen’s cutting of her hair, despite warnings, which ultimately led to her firing. On that note, Carol chats about her new book “When Your Child has a Chronic Medical Illness”, the untimely passing of Luke Perry, Shannen Doherty’s unfortunate battle with cancer, and what is next for the actress who was part of one of the most groundbreaking, revolutionary, classic, iconic, life changing shows in history.
