Alexis Neiers Haines steps Behind The Rope. If that name sounds familiar to you, it is probably because Alexis was one of the several teenagers who made up the “Bling Ring”, the infamous group of, rumored to be “fame obsessed”, teenagers who broke into several celebrities homes for clothes, shoes and other personal items. The celebrities whose homes were targeted included the likes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel Bilson and Orlando Bloom. Alexis opens up about that time in her life - not only the how, what, where and, most importantly, why of the “Bling Ring” but what was it like to be caught and serve time behind bars. Alexis has struggled with addiction most of her typing adult life. She is very open and honest in this chat about that addiction, particularly to heroin, her dark times, her road to recovery and what it is like to “come out the other side”. While all this was going on, Alexis and her sisters were filming the classic E reality show “Pretty Wild”, no pun intended. We chat with her about that Iconic one season wonder and what is was like to be arrested while the “cameras were rolling”. David and Alexis chat about the “reality”, or lack thereof, in Reality TV, her “Life Reset Course” to help pay forward all she has learned in recovery, and whether celebrities like Kim Kardashian are “doing enough” with their platform to help those in need. They also chat about Sophia Coppola’s 2013 film “The Bling Ring” in which Emma Watson played her and Paris Hilton, a good sport, played herself. Alexis fills us in on her road to recovery, sobriety, and stellar Podcast aptly titled, “Recovering From Reality”.
