Our theme for 2023 is going to be unmoveable, based on 1 Corinthians 15:58, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." UNMOVABLE 1 Corinthians 15:58 January 8, 2022 In Corinth, the goddess, Aphrodite was worshipped. 1000 prostitutes were kept at her temple. The city taxed this immoral practice and reaped great economic benefits. Paul wrote 1 Corinthians three years after founding this church. He dealt with division, immorality, grievances between believers, marriage, self-denial, idolatry, proper use of spiritual gifts, power of love and resurrection. All these things were occurring in the church. Paul concluded the admonitions with an encouragement to be unmovable! Don’t allow the darkness of culture to overwhelm the light in you! Many are living with mental disorders due to spiritual blindness. Truth is NEVER relative. It is ABSOLUTE. To be UNMOVABLE we must believe God’s Word. Psalm 125:1-2 Psalm 1:1-3 Jeremiah 17:7-8 When we are UNMOVABLE, victory over every circumstance is guaranteed! 1 Corinthians 15:57
