In Order to Walk in Authority You Must First Submit to Authority

Pastor's Email: February 6, 2021 Church Family, Matthew 8:5-10 tells the story of the Roman Centurion who approached Jesus because his servant was sick. Jesus offered to go to the Centurion's house and heal his servant. The man then demonstrated his understanding of authority. Matthew 8:9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it." He understood how authority works because he was UNDER authority and had authority over his men. When we place ourselves UNDER the authority of Jesus Christ we then have authority over the Kingdom of Darkness. We have authority over sin, sickness, disease and every other attack of the enemy. Jesus responded to this man's understanding of authority: Matthew 8:10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! The principle taught is this, If you want to live in Kingdom authority you must FIRST submit to Kingdom authority. In other words, Jesus MUST be Lord of your life. Today, place your life under His authority and begin living in Him and His Kingdom as never before! Tomorrow morning we will be breaking down this truth in the morning service. Bring anyone you know who needs the authority of the Lord to move in their lives. Bring the sick, lost, broken, outcast and see what Jesus does when we submit to His authority and then live in His authority! Open Your Bible begins tomorrow, 9:30 am in Room 103.
