Pastor's email sent prior to this service... November 7, 2020 Church Family, We are living in a very difficult time. We are living in a country that is completely divided by political alliances. We are living in a time that is ripe for Satan to kill, steal and destroy. In this environment, how does the believer in Jesus respond? First, we remember our hope is not in politics or politicians. Our hope is in the Living God. Second, we remember that God has a plan for our lives, nation and world. In that plan we find assurance and rest. Third, we stand on His Word and His promises for us. We do not stand on the promises of a politician or political party. Fourth, we live in faith to bring a positive, Godly approach to the questions of this time. We stand as light in the darkness and function as salt to the world! We allow Holy Spirit to use us as 'seasoning' for the world. Remember, we are here to bring God's answer and God's presence to the chaos surrounding us. Fifth, we remember Satan is the author of confusion and division. So we constantly maintain an attitude of unity in the Spirit. We don't allow ourselves to fall into the frequent and familiar traps of taking sides or pushing agendas that are part of the political process. The scripture is clear in John 10:10, 'Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy'. He comes to steal your peace, to kill your faith and destroy your unity. As believers, this cannot be allow! Division is of the devil! Please realize we are on a grand stage at this point as the church. The only solution we can present to a hurting world is Jesus Christ. There is no other person or organization that can help mankind. Believers are not social justice warriors. We are KINGDOM Warriors. When we fight from a Kingdom perspective we see results that are miraculous and eternal in the lives of those around us and in our society. But when we fight from an eartly perspective, we just stir up division and strife. We involve ourselves in arguments that have no answers. The only way to resolve the issues that plague our society is through Jesus Christ. I challenge you to not spend one more second, one more ounce of energy, one more brain cell, fighting the wrongs around us with earthly weapons. It just doesn't work and will cause you to lose influence with those you should be speaking life into. All Nations is the most diverse church in North Florida and South Georgia. God has positioned us to reach ALL mankind. We must not decend into baseless arguements that cannot be resolved by our many words. We must fight the battles of right and wrong in our world from a spiritual perspective, from our knees. We must realize who our enemy is and it is not one another. Paul told us in Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Be aware of Satan's devises. Know his desire is to divide the Body of Christ. He will use ANY issue to bring division. Don't be a part of it!!! Don't fall into that trap! Trust God and pray diligently. Allow the Lord of the Harvest to use you to bring people to Him. Don't allow Satan to use you to drive people from Him. It is a choice each of us have to make daily. A major issue in the Corinthian church was division. Hear what Paul wrote, 1 Cor. 1:10 I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. With this in mind, let's pray for God's will to be done in this election cycle, God's will to be done in our world. Let's NOT allow ourselves to be a source of division politically, socially, racially, economiclly or any other way. The KIngdom is compromised of everyone who calls on His name. So as a church, let's unite in the true brotherhood through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Do not be involved in name calling, race baiting, political bantering, but be a LIGHT that shines in the darkness that surrounds us. For some, that means changing the way we think, changing the way we were raised, even changing the crowd we are running with, in order for God to be glorified in our lives. With this truth I will conclude this portion of the email, we can never go deeper with God as long as we are anchored to the arguements of this world. Let go and let God take you deeper!
