Today we will be starting two-part series from 1 Corinthians 12 on the body of Christ. Have you ever said to yourself, "I love Jesus, but I don't really love the church." Maybe you have wondered if it is really necessary for Christians to be a part of the local church. After all, there are amazing preachers you can access online, and worship music that, sung by professionals, never misses notes. Why do we need to participate in a local church if we have all this? Moreover, many of us have experienced problems in Church where "Christians" have hurt us, caused division, or have failed morally. How can we commit to take part in such a broken and messed up organization?
Today we will address this struggle and unpack why Jesus calls us as his followers to be members of the body. We will also see how intentionally integrating into the local church is essential for Christian flourishing.
