Join Jazz Cabbage hosts Jamie Lowell and Rick Thompson as they talk about all things cannabis in Michigan. Joining us today is Latrish Matson (Michigan Weedsters) and Amie Cater, candidate for Michigan House of Representatives, who discusses our effort to stop conversion oil in Michigan and other legislative issues.
Amie discusses being a parent of an ill child and the various forms of cannabis she allows him to use for his illness. A great dialog is had about HB5512, a proposal to allow Michigan Drug Court to bypass the medical marijuana laws and ban participants from using cannabis. A revisiting of Dildos for Justice is made, and a Adam recounts his experience of being raided by the police. A discussion of police accountability is had.
In the last hour Richard Clement (office of Rep. Cynthia A Johnson) and nationally-known activist Eapen Thampy join the conversation- Eapen for just a short time. Richard provides insight into the workings of the Michigan Legislative Cannabis Caucus and Eapen updates the work on the Missouri legalization program.
