What's the Point of Church?: "Church is Subversive"

As Christians, we are supposed to lead lives that are, "in the world, but not of the world..." We are supposed to be present in the world around us yet somehow challenge (in love and truth) the messages we are inundated with each day. We have taken a back seat and have allowed the church to be filled with so much "world", that the church is no longer seen as a refuge or a place of worship. However, a building filled with some nice songs, mostly nice people and maybe some good deeds. This is not what Jesus intended! How can we demonstrate that His love heals? That His love leads to a life of rest in His commands? How can we portray His heart to open our arms to those in pain and lead them to His redemptive love and forgiveness? Listen, as Christian challenges us to be a church that is known for what Jesus intended.
