Ep. 51 - Are You Living A Life Of Significance? with Adriana Rodriguez

Hey girl, welcome to this week's episode of The Fearless Mujer. I'm so excited that you're hanging out with me again, thanks for stopping by for a virtual cup of Cafecito. I'm so excited to introduce my friend Adriana Rodriguez. She is so inspiring and amazing, and I know that she is going to inspire you.

Adriana and I are so passionate about seeing women become who God created them to be, because we both believe that each woman has a unique purpose. On this episode we dive deeper into what it means to live a life of significance. We both share our own unique experiences with struggling with understanding what our purpose truly was. We share how our faith in God is what has given our lives meaning, but also how God can give your life meaning when you align your life with Him.

Adriana shares how she tried finding her significance in money. She had a business in the skincare industry, and she worried about the number of clients she had and how many of them would return. She worried about how much money she was making. God began to show her that she was giving her power, authority, value and worth away. She laid down her business so that God could do a deeper work in her.

Adriana says: “I'm just a stay-at-home mom, you know, I don't have the money that I was making, you know. Everything was, in a sense, stripped away from me. And I felt like I had just lost so much. But in that journey, I began to learn how to walk in that significance that my significance had no attachment to what I did. So, I remember one day having to reintroduce myself. My husband is in the medical field. And we were around all these doctors and nurses. And I thought they were more significant than I was because they had a career, and I didn't. So, I remember meeting these people and thinking, oh, I'm going to have to introduce myself, and what am I going to say? Who am I? And I made a decision. I remember just thinking, you know what, when they ask me, I don't care what they do or who they are. I'm going to say I am the CEO of my home. That's the first thing that I was asked, like hey, you know, what do you do? They introduced themselves. What do you do? And I was like, I am the CEO of my home, with such pride and ownership. And they just looked at me like, oh, okay. And the more that I believed it the more that other people believed it. And there's a scripture that, you know, in the Bible, it says that, you know, the Israelites saw themselves as grasshoppers, and so did the other people. So again, you know, it's however, we see ourselves as how other people are going to see us. So, you really have the authority to decide who you are, what you want to be, and what value you want to give it.”

It's so powerful when you understand that you can choose to step into your authority, and also live a life of significance from whatever season of life you are in.
